Our Tourism Product Of The Week, Is AiM Festival, Says: Tourism Icon, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye

In line with his proposed delivery of 52 Tourism products within a time frame of 52 weeks which commenced in October 2023, Tourism Icon, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye has this week released AiM Festival as the 13th Tourism product to stimulate the entire Tourism industry globally.

According to the Tourism Icon, AiM Festival as a tourism product, is a musical platform for the entire continent of Africa. It is a platform that enables people from all over the world to come to a particular place in Africa, to listen to good music from all around the continent.

“Aim Festival creates not just an opportunity for music lovers across the world to come to one place to listen to music, but also creates an opportunity for scouts to come and find new talents at one place, instead of wandering around each African country, in search of talents.

Africa International Music (AIM) Festival is thus, an annual music festival which takes place in Lagos at the luxurious African themed La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, at Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria.

“The festival,” says the tourism icon, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye who is also the founder, “is an an activation of Motherland Beckons in partnership with the African Union Economic and Cultural council (AU-ECOSOCC), AIM festival was created to showcase the uniqueness and diversity of African Music as well as harnessing artistic potentials in the continent. AIM festival is also an avenue for music lovers, content researchers and documentary producers to experience live music from the 54 countries of the continent in one Venue!

“AIM Festival is part of the programmes being held to highlight the African Union Year of Culture, Heritage and Art which is meant to showcase and promote the rich contemporary African music, dance and culture that exists on our continent, a focus that is aligned with Aspiration 5 of the African Union’s AGENDA 2063. The Festival features concerts, dance, African arts, African inspired fashion shows and African cuisine. It also features presentations of indigenous music and dance by artists from the fifty-four (54) African countries.

AiM thus creates and boasts of being that event that is the world’s largest export of African music, bridging the gap between African artists and world music lovers and fostering future collaborations. Therefore, contributing to the African economy as every tourist spends money from base to destination and other logistics.

“This year, AiM Festival will be held as part of the celebration of Ipada, the return, which has begun already, but will peak with a grand celebration, towards the end of the year 2024. Thats our tourism product for this week. Watch out for another explosive one, next week,” Otunba Wanle Akinboboye added.
