The younger brother to the famous bandits negotiator Sheikh Gummi and a member of the National assembly Engineer Suleiman Abubakar Gummi was yesterday caught conveying large chunks of weapons from Gummi to Gusau.

The alleged suspect who is a member of the House of representatives paid Large sum of bandits and thugs to convey the weapons to Gusau. However luck run against them when security agencies patrolling the road linking Gummi to Gusau arrested the vehicle load of the weapons after dual gunfire. When interrogated some of the arrested who said they were from Dogo gide Camp but hired to convey the weapons to Gusau.

During the interogation, one of the arrested bandits confessed that he saw two sack of money delivered to Dogo gide through one of our ransom collector Kachalla Harande Jabbi before they were asked to go to Engineer Gummi to direct them on special operation. According to some reliable sources especially those close to Engineer Gummi has since been not being at ease following the arrest of the bandits yesterday. The sources said he has been sending deligation to the security agencies who arrested the bandits for dialogue and possible settlement but could not get their cooperation.

Alledged Infidelity: Local government chairman accused for secret deal with governor wife.

Insiders from the Zamfara State government House has accused Gusau Local government chairman Honourable Abubakar Imam for having close relationship with first lady Her Excellency Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, the wife of the Executive governor of Zamfara State.
