Zamfara State Governor, His Excellency (Dr) Bello Mohammed Matawallen has congratulated the Honorable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, on his conferment with a Fellowship status by Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISEC).
In a statement signed by Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, Hon Commissioner for Information, Zamfara state, on behalf of Governor Matawalle reads; “On behalf of government and good people of Zamfara state, His Excellency the Excecutive Governor Hon (Dr ) Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa and Shatiman Sokoto, heartily congratulates the Hon Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, on his conferment with a Fellowship status by Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISEC).”
“The fellowship status conferred on the Hon Minister is a clear testimony of the commitment of Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami to information security for Nigeria and beyond.”
Gvernor Matawalle noted with joy and happiness, the well deserved honour given to the Professor who works tirelessly in exalting himself as a distinguished gentleman of the highest order in the information and cyber security sector globally.
“The honour is indeed a source of pride, not only to the Professor and his family, but also to Nigeria and the black Africa in general, as he is the first black African to win such a fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISEC). I am proud of this meritorious achievement by my dear brother and friend.”
The governor said Zamfara people are in the forefront of those jubilating and celebrating the honour, especially as it came when the people of the state are in dear need of information security technology to curtail banditry in the state. The achievement will go along way in demonstrating the genuine campaign for Nigeria’s digital economy and call for all and sundry to support the campaign in the fight against insecurity across the nation.
Governor Matawalle said though the news of the conferment of the fellowship status was a shocking one, it didn’t came to him as a surprise knowing fully who Prof Isa Ali Pantami is and in consideration of the level of hos dedication and commitment to whatever he set for his job.
“He is a man of passion in whatever he does; he is a brilliant man who always set goals and targets to achieve within a shortest period of time.”
Prof Isa Ali Pantami had been admitted as the first and only African Fellow into CIISEC among the 89 recipients of the fellowship.
He is by this fellowship a major player in the global cyber space, which is a welcomed development, as it will help in developing Nigeria’s IT sector.
The governor, government and the good people of Zamfara state therefore, Congratulate the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISEC) as well, for recognising Prof Isa Ali Pantami for the fellowship along with other fellows that deserved to be honoured.
