Thousands of well wishers, friends, associates and family members of the Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, Jarman Maradun and the former Chief of Army Staff Ambassador Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd) on Saturday July 23rd, 2022, converged in Keffi Nasarawa state to witness the conferment of the most highly prestigious chieftaincy title of the Garkuwan Keffi to His Excellency Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, by His Royal Highness the Emir of Keff DR Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, PhD.

General Buratai, "one of Nigeria's brightest star generals, as popularly addressed by his 29th Course Mates, is the current Nigeria Ambassador to Benin Republic and had received numerous chieftaincy titles by many reputable traditional rulers in the country for his sacrifice, commitment and dedication to serving humanity throughout his career.

The efforts by the general has saved Nigeria in many respects, including Nigeria's democracy.

A native of Biu Local government area of Borno State, Gen. Buratai (rtd). One of the sons of Late Alhaji Yusuf Buratai, a war Veteran of blessed memory, thanked most sincerely, the Emir of Keffi for the honour done to him by appointing him to such exalted position of Garkuwan Keffi, a highly respected traditional title of the emirate. The newly crowned Garkuwan Keffi who promised the Emir of his absolute loyalty, total commitment and dedication to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Keffi emirates.

Access weekly correspondent who witnessed the coronation event reports that the presence of both serving and retired Military officer's, politicians, Diplomats, Traditional rulers, Captains of Industries has demonstrated hemeral Buratai's popularity, diligence and cordial relations with people.

The palace of both the emir of Keffi Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa and that of the Garkuwan Keffi were agog with praise singers, traditional players and novelty foot ball match as mark of joy and happiness for the coronation.
