REVEALED: A FORMER SENATOR FINGERED IN THE KILLINGS OF ZAMFARA SECURITY COMMISSIONER'S SON AND 3 OTHERS, AS HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS CALL FOR THE ARREST AND PROSECUTION OF KABIRU MARAFA.

Reports just reaching this medium revealed that a former Zamfara Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa is fingered as the master mind of the recent killings in Tsafe town of Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state on Sunday, in which the biological son of the state commissioner  of security and home affairs DIG Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe (rtd) was killed by the suspected gunmen.

Investigations into the killings that also claimed lives of 3 other persons including the son of the Executive Chairman, state local government service commission Alh Haruna Sallau Tsafe have been pointing accusing fingers on the former Senator Kabiru Marafa who was before the incidents heard threatening the lives of some prominent members of Tsafe community for their role in scuttling his political feature.

According to one of those being interrogated among the people arrested revealed that "those who did the killings were not bandits, but hired assassins from Kaduna on a mission to kill the state Commissioner for security, DIG Mamman Tsafe (rtd), commissioner Hotels and Tourism Alh Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe, Commissioner for Health Alh Aliyu MC Tsafe, the Executive Chairman of local government service commission Alh Haruna Sallau Tsafe and other prominent personalities, most of whom are residing on the same street in Tsafe, but missed the targets and decided to take the lives of their children.

"This was why the killers cut and went away with the hand of the DIG rtd son as an evidence for their sponsors that they have carried the assignment." Lamented the suspect.

Another suspect also undergoing interrogation said it was a cartel some of whom participated in the recent Abuja - Kaduna train attack and revealed the involvement of Kabiru Marafa in all the planning and execution of the attacks including making payments to some of the recruited members of the cartel.

It may be recalled that a bandits kingpin caught wearing Senator Kabiru Marafa's T-Shirt along shinkafi - Niger - Sokoto border told security operatives that the former Senator was their sponsor.

During the reign of former Gov Yari, Marafa was also accused by one Col Yandoto of masterminding the killings of some people in Mada area of Gusau local government, but the case was swept under the carpet.

Reacting to the Marafa's terrorism tendencies, some non - governmental and human rights organisations challenged Governor Bello Matawalle to, if at all serious on the fight against bandits, to order the arrest and interrogation of the former senator.

Further investigations also revealed that Kabiru Marafa who threatened to lead a revolution against APC government, is working along with some prominent politicians in Nigeria to achieve the dream.
