The Zamfara State House of Assembly on Monday rejected the nomination of former Inspector General of Police MD Abubakar for screening and confirmation as Special Adviser to Gov Dauda Lawal Dare.  Sources from the State Assembly confirmed the incident and said the Speaker of the House announced the rejection  of the Gov 's nomination of MD Abubakar to serve as a Special Adviser to the Gov along with other nominations.  He said members of the State House of Assembly were provoked by the Gov following his refusal to follow due process in the awards of several contracts running into billions of Naira beyond his spending limits without seeking approval from the the legislators.  According to the sources, the rejection was supported by the whole house. Reports emerged that the  sacked Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal Dare has abandoned his security details and flew alone  to Senegal one of the African country known with the highest numbers of ritualist following his sacked  last week by the Appeal Court sitting in Maitama Abuja as the duly elected Zamfara State governor and ordered a re-run to be conducted by INEC in three out of the 14 local governments area of the State. A controversy broke out over a whooping  sum of 1 billion Naira withdrawn from Zamfara  state-local government joint account for renting Crowd to welcome Gov Dauda Lawal Dare home after his foreign trip.  A reliable source from the state ministry for local government who prepared anonymous due to security said the money which was intended for renting the Crowd could not be used for the purpose was diverted.
