Assassination attempt: Zamfara PDP armed thugs allegedly in search of returning officer.

The Zamfara State people Democratic party PDP armed thugs has been allegedly fingered for several attempts to assassinate Dr. Ahmad Kainuwa the returning officer who collated Maradun local government controversial 2023 governorship and State Assembly election result.

Dr. Ahmad who was threatened and forced by Zamfara Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and uniformed personnel to announce a fake result from Maradun local government, alledgely doctored by General Ali Gusau 'boys' is now in hiding for the fear of his life.

A source close to the family of Dr. Ahmad confirmed that, "to be honest, Dr. Ahmad Kainuwa and his immediate family members are seriously facing assassination and kidnap attempt from the alleged Zamfara PDP armed thugs, "that's why we organized ourself to respond to any threat," the source cries out.

The Maradun local government returning officer Dr. Ahmad kainuwa has last week confirmed to the governorship election petition Tribunal that the duplicate of the result tendered by the petitioner in respect of the petitioner is the correct result, he collated from various ward collation officers in the local government.

He further stated that, "the duplicate is the original and authentic one but that he was asked to present another alternative result downloaded on the IREV portal," he added that, to the best of his knowledge and based on the result he officially collated, APC scored (98,546) as it was.

One could recall the story on print and electronic media, one week to the 2023 governorship election, which stated that the then Aso rock Cabals which include the famous biological father to the American-Christmas-under-wear-bomber Abdulmutallaf, also a father in law to the current Zamfara State governor Dauda Lawal, sent uniformed personnel under the Command of the son to the late Dr. Garba Nadama, former governor of Sokoto and rigged the process to the favour of the People Democratic Party which he was later given a highly recognized Chieftaincy title in return for, in appreciation by the Emir of Gusau.
