ZAMFARA POLITICS: SENATOR KABIRU MARAFA AND HIS PARALLEL CONGRESS.

The National Headquarter of the All progressive Congress APC fixed November 13th, 2021 as the official date for it's Wards Congress in Zamfara State. However, the announcement by the ruling party did not go down well with some factions that emerged following the defection of Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC by the actions of the National Headquarters of the APC angered Senator Kabiru Marafa, who represented Zamfara Central at the 8th Assembly, threatened to Conduct his parallel Congress to have his own Party executives.

Marafa who Spoke through Channels Television in a program Politics today also threatened to go to the Court to Challenge the action of the National Headquarters of the APC for conducting the Scheduled Ward Congress in all the 14 local governments of Zamfara State.

Curious of the likely to happen, this Medium deployed it's crew of reporters to cover the conflicting ward congresses. However, our Crew could not ascertain any parallel Congress in any of the 14 local government areas of the state. According to our reporters, only the governor's faction conducted the Wards congress in all the 14 local government areas. Investigation into the reason why Marafa did not conduct his parallel congress as he pledge to, revealed that most of his supporters had joined the governors faction.

One of the supporters of Senator Kabiru Marafa said, they were tired of being used by the Senator to disrupt Zamfara politics. Another Supporter of the former Senator, Aliyu Mohammed Tsafe said, " which trouble are they going to face?, is it the party squabbles or the Inherited insecurity Governor Mutawalleh is trying to curtail." Mohammed further said, " following Senator Marafa actions and inactions to agree on some simple in- house agreements and decisions, Zamfara state is losing at the the national level in all ramifications, and becoming ungovernable.

Our reporters who went round some local governments areas of the state reported that, the officials of the APC National Headquarters were at the local Governments to oversee the conduct of the exercise and have expressed their satisfaction on the level of cooperation and massive turnout of members for the exercise.

It maybe recalled that Senator Kabiru Marafa gallantly fought former Gov Yari to his knees during the 2019 general elections, but this time around the two rival politicians teamed up against governor Bello matawalle.

Alledged Infidelity: Local government chairman accused for secret deal with governor wife.

Insiders from the Zamfara State government House has accused Gusau Local government chairman Honourable Abubakar Imam for having close relationship with first lady Her Excellency Hajiya Huriya Dauda Lawal, the wife of the Executive governor of Zamfara State.
